"daender" (daender)

I'm been kicking an idea around in my head for quite a while and I think now's the time to ask if someone can turn this vision into something. Basically, I'm asking anyone with automotive artistic/photoshop talent to draw a cool modification to a 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona.
I LOVE Mopar's winged warriors. I love their tall trunk-clearing wings, their long aerodynamic noses, and their slopes windshields. The only problem I have is that their headlights are just so...un-aerodynamic. So I thought to myself, "Why not convert the nose so that the headlights are fixed without compromising the shape of the nose?" I drew inspiration from two cars in particular, the 1967 L88 Corvette racecar and the 1991 787B LeMans winner. Notice how the Corvette's iconic rotating headlights were replaced with glass-covered fixed units but it stays in line with the nose's shape.
Furthermore, the Daytona's inlet hole it somewhat cluttered with those turn signals/DRL units so why not relocate those inside the covers. This is where I used the 787B for help. By mounting the turn signal above and between the headlights! Also, double cibie headlights with dark surrounds are a weakpoint of mine.
I'm politely asking if anyone would like to try and sketch out this concept of mine because I'd really like to see it as a physical image than a mental one. Here's a rough idea of what it'd look like. Basically dual round headlights with black or dark grey surrounds behind a fiberglass/glass cover.
Bonus points if you can turn this into something that should've appeared at LeMans in 1969!

That's quite a challenge. I'll see if I have time to give it a try today, don't let my offer to help hold anyone else back, you may be better at it than me!

Yeah, I've seen that one a lot but those headlights look too modern for what I'm going for. Looks good though.

I see your drawing, and I think I'm going in the right direction, I think they need to be much taller like your drawing has them, let me know if this is the direction you want to go though and I'll finish tomorrow.

Yes Yes Yes! That's the vibe! But yeah, like every aspect of the Daytona, the headlights needs to be big. Awesome job!

Only one flaw in the plan, and that's the distance available between the edge of the fender and the inner grille/lights. I'm trying to keep the newly "installed" lights at a normal dimension.
